Services

We build it, we run it, you use it.

Most businesses that need their own software have two bad options: buy something generic and bend the business around it, or hire people to build and then babysit something custom. We do a third thing. We build the system your business actually needs, we keep owning and running it, and we license it back to you.

How it works

You get a custom build

Built around how your business already works, not around a product roadmap written for somebody else's customers.

You don't get a software department

No developers to hire, no hosting to manage, no dependency upgrades, no on-call. The thing that breaks is our problem, not yours.

You license it, we maintain it

You pay to use it and it keeps working. We carry the code, the infrastructure and the fixes for as long as you're using it.

It keeps improving

Because we operate it rather than handing it over and leaving, the system gets better while you're using it.

The first month

You have something to use in week one.

The first month is an audit of how your business actually runs — the process, where it breaks, and who really does what — turned straight into something working. Not a discovery document describing software you might get later.

  1. 01

    The audit

We go through the process as it actually runs, not as the org chart says it does. That is where the requirements are.

  2. 02

A live tool from day one

Small, real, and in your team's hands immediately. You start using it while we are still building the rest.

  3. 03

    MVPs your team argues with

Quick turnarounds your people can test. The feedback comes from whoever will live in the thing, not from a spec review.

  4. 04

    An agreed goal state

We pitch what finished looks like, agree the fee for it, and build to that. You know what you are getting and what it costs before it starts.

What it costs

A build fee, then a licence.

Build fee

Covers discovery and MVP development through to an agreed solution. We pitch a goal state, agree the fee for reaching it, and build to that.

Licence

Billed annually for the first year. After that, monthly or annually at an annual rate — for as long as you are using it.

How we keep it working

You are not buying a handover.

Software that nobody watches quietly stops working. We watch ours the way you would want someone watching it, which is the actual difference between a licence and a project that was delivered and forgotten.

We see the problem before you report it

Error tracking on everything we run, so a fault raises itself. Nobody has to notice and phone us.

Improvements come from use, not opinions

Product analytics show how the software is really used. Several of Audra's design decisions came from watching that and changing our minds.

It is stable, and when it isn't we act

Things break; software that claims otherwise is lying. What matters is that it is caught immediately and fixed as our problem, not added to your list.

Your data stays yours

Your checklists, records and procedures remain your company's property, and you can export your data whenever you want it.

The monitoring is not improvised: Sentry for errors, PostHog for product analytics, on everything we operate.

Support

When something is wrong, you call us.

Clients do not go through a form, a queue, or a first-line agent who has to read the ticket back to you. You already have us directly, and the person who answers is one of the two who built the thing.

Support hours are set in your order form, along with what the licence covers.

Everything else — new work, questions, anyone not a client yet — goes to hello@fungible.capital.

The comparison

The alternative is hiring for it.

Building it in-house

  • Recruit developers, and be able to tell a good one from a bad one
  • Salaries before a line of it is working
  • Hosting, upgrades, security patching, someone on call
  • The person who understood it leaves, and takes the context with them
  • Half-finished internal tools nobody owns

Working with us

  • Something live in your team's hands in week one
  • One agreed build fee to a goal state you signed off
  • Hosting, monitoring and fixes are ours, permanently
  • The people who built it are the people still running it
  • A tool that keeps improving because we operate it

Right fit

Businesses with a process specific enough that off-the-shelf software doesn't fit, and small enough that hiring a development team to solve it would cost more than the problem.

Built this way

The same arrangement, already running. We built these, and we operate them.
